Autism Support– Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears in children before age three, according to the Autism Society of America. A complex neurobiological disorder, it impacts areas of the brain responsible for social interaction and communication skills. One of our qualified tutors is always there for support and can help create goals and work with your child in the comfort of your home.

ADHD/ADD – ADHD is a problem with inattentiveness, over-activity, impulsivity, or a combination. For these problems to be diagnosed as ADHD, they must be out of the normal range for a child’s age and development. No single test can diagnose a child as having ADHD. Instead, a licensed health professional needs to gather information about the child, his or her behavior and environment.

Learning Disability – A child with a learning disability cannot try harder, pay closer attention, or improve motivation on their own; they need help to learn how to do those things. A learning disability, or learning disorder, is not a problem with intelligence. Learning disorders are caused by a difference in the brain that affects how information is received, processed, or communicated. Many of our tutors are experienced in providing support for learning disabled students.

Learning Style Evaluation – Information about learning styles and Multiple Intelligence (MI)) is helpful for everyone, but especially for people with learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder. Knowing ones learning style will help develop coping strategies which compensate for weaknesses and capitalize on strengths.

Every student can be a successful learner. Our Learning Style and Multiple Intelligences assessment can assist you in becoming a better coach and advocate for your child. A Benchmark Specialist will provide a personalized consultation which will:

  • Help you understand how your child learns

Understanding your child’s learning style and individual differences can empower you, your child, and your child’s classroom teacher.
